The idea with the board, was to make a interchangeable table, to get a variety in the games. To do so even more, we decided not to build in stationary buildings, though stationary buildings gives an opportunity to make the board look more realistic and detailed.
We had to fill the extra gab with some, polystyrene. We could have just removed the extra on the side of the blocks, but wouldn't have ended up with a 120 x 120 cm table, but more like 115 x 115.
On top of the yellow foam, we cut out and glued the white foamboard called "hips", to make the pavement. To measure, I've placed som of my first buildings.
Next: cutting out and glue on foam to the canals.
But here's a overview picture of the ALMOST done table. Still need to fill in the multi layer resin in the canal and integrate more rubble and lost/left/dropped weapons, skulls, bottles, books etc.
Amazing! I'm so happy you started this blog. After seeing your work on Facebook I was dying to know your methods! The incredibly detailed walkthroughs are wonderful and I'll be featuring this blog in my next blog post. :D Looking forward to seeing more!
