Miniatures

It's not all about terrain, you'll want to move some dolls around the awesome terrain you are making. So on this side I'll post some of my warbands and other miniatures, WIP and some already finished.

Monday the 1st of december I forgot to bring my camera to the workshop, and my friend and I were too busted to play a game (Oh the beauty of being fathers). Instead we threw our selves over some paint, and I got to try out a painting technique I've wanted to give a try for a long time. Gray-Scale washing by Whitman Bottiger. It's a time consuming method, but it gives a nice dusty look and takes your painting away from the eventually "GW-flamboyant-brightness-of colour-right-in-your-face-style"... Enough said.
Some times I like it though... Depends...

Anyways.
Heres a test on my chimera.

First a picture of our commen worktable in our workshop, which btw are called Wicked Workshop and holds 8 spaces for creative people of all kind.

1) Spray your model white
2) Wash it with a black wash/shade
3) Dry brush with white
4) Apply the wash/shade colours you wish, For a deeper and less translucent layer, add more when dry.
5) Point out details with base/layer colours...
